The Dell OptiPlex GX270 is a small form factor computer that is compatible with Intel Pentium 4 and Celeron processors. Turn off your computer system and disconnect the power cable. Disconnect the network cable, keyboard, mouse, monitor cable and any other peripheral.
Remove the computer stand if your machine has one. Flip the machine upside down so the stand faces upward and remove the small thumbscrew securing the stand to the bottom of the computer case. Lift the stand from the computer case after removing the thumbscrew.
Place the computer system on its side with the "Dell" inscription on the case facing upward. Press the two release buttons on the top and bottom of the machine, positioned near the rear. While pressing the buttons at the same time, lift the rear side portion of the cover from the computer chassis to remove the panel.
