In the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” card game, a trio of three powerful monsters comprise the Egyptian Gods. These monsters include Obelisk the Tormentor, The Winged Dragon of Ra and Slifer the Sky Dragon. Due to the strength these monster's powers, they are banned from tournament play, but you can still build a deck around them for play against friends. The goal of developing an Egyptian Gods deck is to summon the three monsters as soon as possible. Once they are summoned, you can deal enough damage in one turn to defeat your opponent and win the duel.

Determine the attributes for your Egyptian God card, which are not listed on the cards. For example, use the attributes as they appear in “Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 4,” the most recent game to feature the God cards as of August, 2010.
Insert Obelisk the Tormentor into your deck. Use the card's 4000 ATK and DEF rating to attack your opponent directly. Use Obelisk the Tormentor's ability to destroy all of your opponent's monster cards by sacrificing two of your own to keep him defenceless.
Add the Winged Dragon of Ra card into your deck. Determine the ATK and DEF of the card by the sum of the ratings for the three monster cards you used to summon the card. Use the ability of Winged Dragon of Ra to sacrifice all but one of your life points to power up the ATK and DEF by the same amount to directly kill your opponent if he is open to a direct attack.
Add Slifer the Sky Dragon into the deck. Determine Slifer's ATK and DEF by multiplying the cards in your hand by 1000. Decrease the ATK or DEF of any opponent monster by 2000 when Slifer is in play. Use this to decrease the rating to zero or below to immediately destroy the monster.
Add Mausoleum of Emperor to your deck. Use this spell card to trade 3000 life points in exchange for summoning your God cards, bringing them into battle without needing to tribute monsters.
Insert Draining Shield into your deck. Use the shield to turn battle damage from one attack into life points for you, making up for the points lost when using the Mausoleum.
Add three Ancient Elf and three Archfiend Soldier cards to your deck. Use these monsters to summon your Egyptian God cards.
Insert two Mind Control spell cards into your hand. Use this spell to control one opponent monster until the end of your turn to prevent damage to your lesser monsters.
Add three Pot of Greed cards and three Avatar of the Pot cards to your deck. Activate the ability of Avatar of the Pot to discard a Pot of Greed and draw three cards from your deck. Use this ability to quickly draw the Egyptian God cards into your hand.
Tips and warnings
- "Yu-Gi-Oh!" decks require a minimum of 40 cards to be legal, so you'll need to add additional cards on top of the cards listed here. Add low-level monsters in your deck to use as both summoning tributes and cannon fodder during the duel. Your only goal is to summon your Egyptian God cards as soon as possible.
- Agree with your opponent that God cards can be used in your duel before you begin.
