The Inspire A500 speaker combination is a 5.1 speaker system produced by Creative Technology Limited. It is composed of five speakers and a single subwoofer, which provides low-frequency sounds for balance. The system uses a wired remote control, and is magnetically shielded to prevent signal interference with other components. Although each cable is different, and must be connected to the appropriate port, the ends of the audio cables are identical, so it doesn't matter which end is connected.
