When using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, you may need to locate and remove duplicate values in two different columns. The software allows you to find duplicate cells of data and displays every repeated cell in a third column. You can then eliminate the duplicates.

Open Microsoft Excel.
Type "=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(cell to match,cells to match with,0)),"",cell to match)." Replace the cell to match and cells to match with the cells you intend to use. For example, if you want to match cell A1 to cells C1 through C5, you would type "=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A1,$C$1:$C$5,0)),"",A1)."
Copy and paste the formula from Step 2 downward through all the cells you want to match.
