Defense of the Ancients, commonly known as DotA, is a modification released for the popular Real-Time Strategy game Warcraft 3. As a modification of the original video game, the controls used for DotA are the same as the controls in Warcraft 3. When playing the game, it can be convenient to change the camera view in order to gain sight if your view is being obstructed by an object. There are several simple controls that can be accessed to zoom, pan and rotate your camera view while playing.

Start a new game of Defense of the Ancients. Join a new game online or create your own private match.
Zoom in and out on the screen by using the scrolling wheel on the mouse. Scrolling up will zoom in, and scrolling down will zoom your camera out. Alternatively, you can use the "Page Up" and "Page Down" keys for the same effect.
Pan the camera view by pointing your mouse toward the edge of your screen. The camera view will pan to the side of the screen toward which your mouse is pointing.
Rotate the camera view by pressing the "Insert" and "Delete" keys. Pressing "Insert" will rotate your view by 90 degrees counterclockwise. Pressing "Delete" will rotate your view clockwise.
