Remember your last drunk friend, sick child or dramatic case of food poisoning? You know how difficult it is to get that vomit smell out of your carpet, car seat, sofa or mattress, and it makes you want to vomit too. Get rid of this deep, penetrating odour and return to an odourless existence so you can breathe easy again.

  • Bowl
  • Warm water
  • Baking soda
  • Tooth brush
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • Spatula

Instructions

    Allow the carpet to dry after any other attempted cleanings.

    Fill a small bowl with some warm water.

  3. 3

    Add enough baking soda to the water to create the consistency of a paste.

  4. 4

    Use a tooth brush to spread the paste generously onto the affected area.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle some dry baking soda over the area covered in paste.

  6. 6

    Let the paste dry for a few hours.

  7. 7

    Vacuum the baking soda and the paste from the surface.

  8. 8

    Use a hard spatula to scrape up any remaining paste before vacuuming again.
