When cleaning a jetted tub, you must take into consideration the amount of soap scum and bacteria that builds up in the jets, and figure out a cleaning routine that flushes out any impurities without requiring you to dismantle the tub.

  • Dishwasher detergent
  • Water
  • Sponge

    Fill your American Standard tub with hot water, and turn the jets on at high speed.

    Pour 1/4 cup dishwasher detergent and 1/2 cup bleach into the fibreglass jetted tub.

    Let the jets run for 20 minutes, then drain the tub.

    Rinse a sponge under hot water, and wipe across the sides and bottom of the tub.

    Fill the tub once more with hot water, and let the jets run for 10 minutes. Drain the tub when finished.
