Graphics artists use Photoshop CS3 for many purposes, from creating web page layouts to making simple animations. However, Photoshop CS3 best known as a retouching tool used to change the appearance of photographs. Photoshop CS 3 is the tool to use to fulfil the often-requested change to make the subject in a portrait look thinner.

    Load the photo you want to edit onto your computer.

    Open Photoshop. Select "File" from the menu and choose "Open." In the dialogue that appears, locate and open the photo you loaded.

    Select "Filter" from the menu and choose "Liquify." In the dialogue that appears, select the "Forward Warp" tool from the options on the left and use it to push the face in under the checks and the jawline.

    Switch to the "Pucker" tool and use it to reduce the size of any double chin the face might have. Click "OK" to close the dialogue. Save your work.
