A smile brightens your face, makes you feel better on the inside and welcomes those you meet. Smiling can be embarrassing if you've just had your braces removed, only to discover you have badly stained teeth where the braces were. Tips and warnings

  • Strawberries are natural teeth whiteners. Rub strawberries directly on your teeth or crush a strawberry and mix it with a pinch of baking soda to make a paste. Brush on with a toothbrush. Be sure to rinse thoroughly as strawberries have natural sugar in them.
  • Avoid using lemons or anything else that's acidic to whiten your teeth. Citrus fruits are effective whiteners, but the acid in them will wear down your tooth enamel.
