The picture screen on your Panasonic plasma television set won't just turn on when you take it out of the box. A plasma television doesn't have its own internal power supply--it is going to need to run off of the electricity that is being used by your home. Because of this, you'll need to make sure that the Panasonic plasma television is hooked up correctly before you can even think about turning it on and enjoying its high definition picture quality.
Plug the power cable that runs off of the rear of your Panasonic plasma television set into a wall outlet in your home. You may also use a surge protector or power strip that is plugged into the wall, if applicable.
Make sure there are batteries in the remote control that came with your TV. Typically these batteries (either AA sized or AAA sized) will have come with the remote, but if they didn't, you can find batteries at any chemist or convenience store.
Aim your remote control directly at the front of your Panasonic plasma television set.
Press the "Power" button on the remote control. The picture on the Panasonic TV will now turn on.
You can also use the "Power" button on the side of the TV itself to turn the picture on if you don't wish to use the remote control.
