How to Mount a Dartboard Cabinet

Updated February 21, 2017

A quality dartboard is a waste of money if you don't take the time to properly mount the board cabinet. By following the cabinet's mounting instructions, and keeping safety in mind, you can be sure to get the most from your dartboard.

Pick a location for the dartboard. Ideally, the board will be mounted on a strong wall, and will have 10 feet of space around it to avoid accidents or injury.

Mark a spot 5 feet 8 inches up the wall where the cabinet will be mounted.

Install the mountain screws or nails. While specific mounting instructions will vary by model, mounting screws or nails should be placed at a height that allows the dartboard's bullseye to lie directly over your 5-foot-8 mark.

Hang your dartboard cabinet on the mounts, checking that the cabinet hangs level and that the "20" is at the top of the board.

Mark off a throwing line 7 feet 9-1/4 inches from your mounted cabinet.

Things You'll Need
