How to Make Butter Pats

Butter pats are a decorative way to impress all of your guests and they are pretty easy to make if you know how. Once you know the technique you can make all sorts of shapes to fit any occasion and add flair and elegance to all your get gatherings.

Things you need

  • butter
  • candy moulds
  • knife
  • cookie sheets
  • wax paper

    Soften butter by keeping it outside the refrigerator for about an hour.

    Use a knife to spread the butter into a candy mould.

  3. 3

    Flip the mould over to ensure that the butter is filling the mould completely.

  4. 4

    Put in the freezer. When firm pop the butter out of the moulds.

  5. 5

    Place on cookie sheets between wax paper so that they don't stick together and put them back in the fridge.

Tips and warnings

  • Don't use spreadable butter, it doesn't work the same way.
