How Do I Repair Fuses on a Panasonic Genius Microwave?

Updated February 21, 2017

The Panasonic Genius microwave is used in homes and businesses to give people an easy way to cook or heat up food. The fuse inside the back panel of the Panasonic Genius is used to control the temperature inside the microwave. If the oven has blown its fuse, the microwave will not power on. You can change this fuse in less than 10 minutes with just a screwdriver. You don't have to be a technician to do this. You can do it yourself.

Unplug the microwave oven from the wall outlet and turn it around.

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws holding the back panel to the oven.

Locate the fuse holder. The fuse holder holds a small glass fuse inside it.

Pull the fuse out of the fuse holder with your fingers and then replace it with your new fuse.

Replace the back panel on the microwave and then replace and tighten the screws holding it to the oven.

Plug the microwave back into the wall and then test it.

Never test a microwave oven when it's empty. Put water in a microwave-safe glass and test the oven by heating the water.
