How to treat high estrogen levels

High oestrogen levels are expected during certain times in a woman's life. Those times are when she is pregnant, when she is going through her menstrual cycle and after she undergoes oestrogen replacement therapy. At other times, high oestrogen levels should be a concern for women. There are many health problems that are associated with having high oestrogen levels. Some of these problems are migraines, weight gain, high blood pressure, fatigue, PMS, muscle aches, fibroids, depression, and ageing skin. Besides these health problems, there are serious, life-threatening conditions that can occur for a woman with high oestrogen levels. These conditions include reproductive cancers, blood clots, strokes, gall bladder disease, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
Therefore, it is imperative that a woman learns how to treat high levels of oestrogen in her body. Here are some ways a woman can reduce her oestrogen level.

In countries where woman avoid fatty diets and mostly eat vegetables, there are not a lot of women with breast cancer. Women should avoid highly processed foods and high-fat foods to lower oestrogen levels. Women should eat more raw fruit, and natural, organic whole foods.

    Increase fibre intake. A woman should increase her fibre intake to 30 grams per day. Fibre is found in plant foods such as peas, soybeans, oats, rye, plums, berries, broccoli, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions. Other fibre is found in whole grain foods, bran, nuts, seeds, cauliflower, zucchini and celery. A woman should make sure these foods are a part of her daily diet to decrease her oestrogen levels.
