Before asking a woman out, most men want to know whether that woman likes them. There are a lot of complicated things that people might tell a man in this situation. But it really is easy to tell in most cases. A woman who likes a man will behave in a few specific ways.

Instructions

  1. 1

Notice how often she looks at you. If you catch her looking at you a lot, chances are that she likes you. Also notice whether she looks at you when you talk to her. If she keeps looking at you and seems interested in everything you say, that's another indication that she likes you.

  2. 2

Watch for nonverbal cues. A woman who is interested will want to be physically closer to the person she likes. She will lean toward you when she's near you and may try to touch you nonchalantly. She may touch your knee, tap you on the back to talk to you or give you other small touches. A woman generally does not want to touch someone she is not interested in on some level.

  3. 3

Listen to the way she talks to you and reacts to what you say. If she thinks all of your jokes are funny and remembers every little titbit you tell her, she probably likes you.

  4. 4

Ask her on a small date or get-together and notice how available she makes herself to you. If she simply says that she can't, she isn't interested. If she agrees, says she will try to shift her schedule to make it or says that she can do it on another day, she is interested in spending time with you. Make sure, however, that if she changes the day, she gives you a specific date and time. If she simply says that she can do it later or sometime in the future, she is not interested.

  5. 5

Remember how many times she has shown up where you are. If she shows up at your work, gym, home or favourite hang-out often, she might be interested in you.

Tips and warnings

  • Listen to your gut; if you think she's giving you the go-ahead, ask her out.
  • Sometimes your interpretation of a woman's cues may be wrong but, as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
