Cooking your seasoned roast beef in the casserole dish (crock pot) all day will create a flavourful, tender and juicy meal for supper. Here's how to do just that.
Peel 3 or 4 garlic cloves and cut into thick slivers. Create deep slits randomly in the roast beef and embed garlic slivers into the meat.
Season meat with a dusting of garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Place roast beef into casserole dish. Add water to pot (about halfway up the side of roast). Set casserole dish to low and cook for 6- 8 hours.
When meat is done, it should be "fall apart" tender. Serve hot. Carefully pour left over liquid into serving bowl and serve as a sauce.
Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus or green beans.
If you have any roast beef left over, shred meat with fork and add favourite BBQ sauce. Serve on hamburger buns with fries for a delicious BBQ roast beef sandwich.
