Specifications of Fox Float RP2 Shocks

Updated February 21, 2017

Mountain biking places a lot of stress on a bicycle. Shock absorbers help reduce this stress. The Float RP2 is a high-performance, off-road bicycle shock designed and manufactured by Fox, a company based in Watsonville, California.

Fox's Float RP2 model is a high-volume, lightweight, air shock. The Float RP2 features Fox's ProPedal system, designed to ensure pedalling efficiency, square edge performance and advanced traction.

The Float RP2 is available in six different sizes, measured in length by travel: 5.5 inches by 1.0 inches, 6.0 inches by 1.25 inches, 6.5 inches by 1.5 inches, 7.5 inches by 2.0 inches, 7.875 inches by 2.0 inches, and 7.875 inches by 2.25 inches. The average weight of the six models is 0.2 Kilogram, or 200 grams.

Fox's Float RP2 is remote-capable and features an angled, air valve position. Adjustments are handled by a two-position, DOHC ProPedal lever. Each shock features adjustable rebound and air spring pressure.
