The Peavey Classic 60/60 is a 60-watt, all-tube power amp for an electric guitar. While no longer in production, the Classic 60/60 can be found used and still provides a solid foundation for a rack-mounted guitar set-up.

The Peavey Classic 60/60 produces 60 watts of power into 16-, 8- and 4-ohm loads, as stated in the manual. It features speaker output jacks, a pair of 1/4-inch inputs, two XLR inputs, direct out XLR jacks and 1/4-inch line out jacks. The inputs and line outs have sensitivity and level controls, respectively.

The Peavey Classic 60/60 occupies two spaces in a standard rack-mount set-up. It weighs 13.6kg. and is 19-by-5 1/4-by-10 inches wide, high and deep, respectively, according to the Peavey website. It generates its output from four 6L6 tubes and three 12AX7 tubes. Cooling is provided from a single-speed fan. The amp can be mounted to your rack with the slots running along each side of the amp's front panel.

The Peavey Classic 60/60s 6L6 tubes generate a warm, natural sound compared to solid state amps. Turned up, the Classic 60/60 will push the tubes to the point of break-up for a natural harmonic distortion many guitarists covet.
