Quality assurance coordinators are in charge of making sure products meet quality standards as defined by their company.


While quality assurance coordinators end up performing many tasks, their main task is ensuring that quality assurance standards and procedures are being met by their quality assurance team members.

Quality assurance coordinators can be found in myriad industries, including, but not limited to: computer software companies, distribution, engineering firms, manufacturing and print media.


The manager will review standards, study existing policies and procedures and establish and conduct programs that evaluate effectiveness of the quality assurance program.

Other duties might include, but are not limited to: Reviewing standards with employees under their management Assign and review work assigned to others on the team * Write new standards and procedures


Quality assurance coordinators should have, at least, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field, extensive knowledge about the standards set for quality by the company, an ability to communicate both verbally and in written forms and should have project management skills.
