How Do I Fix Water That Keeps Running in a Tub Faucet?

Video transcription

I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, Murray, Utah. Today, we're going to show you how to fix water that keeps running in a tub faucet. OK, when you have a tub faucet that's leaking, usually water leaks out of the tub spout here. It's not actually the tub spout that's the culprit, the problem is up in the faucet itself. So, you want to take your handle off, and there's many different brands, styles, shapes, sizes. On this one, you then remove the sleeve or the escutcheon tube, and keep your pin, and then you'll be able to remove the cartridge itself. Now, this particular cartridge pulls out. You can then take this down to the supply house, pick up a new one, and this will fix your leaky faucet. And again, I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, Murray, Utah, we've just shown you how to repair water that keeps running in a tub faucet.
