Restless Legs & Magnesium

Video transcription

My name is Dr. Kim Makoi. I am a holistic chiropractor from San Francisco and this is restless legs and magnesium. Restless Leg Syndrome is a name given to a condition where peoples' leg muscles twitch or contract involuntarily especially while they are sleeping at night and one of the components that is very important in muscle relaxation is magnesium which is a mineral. So some of the different ways that people with Restless Leg Syndrome try to increase their magnesium is either through taking magnesium containing supplements such as this one here or and the supplements come in usually a pill or a capsule form. Sometimes they come in a powder form where you can mix it up and drink it or by taking Epsom Salts baths. Epsom Salts are made of magnesium sulfate. They're a great source of magnesium and basically you just sit down and soak in a nice hot bath with about three or four pounds of Epsom Salts and soak as long as you can and that's how you help Restless Leg Syndrome with magnesium.
