How to Change the Blades on a Wahl Trimmer

Wahl manufactures many models of clippers and trimmers, for both personal and pet grooming. Wahl clippers and trimmers have one or two blades, depending on model, and rotate back and forth to cut hair. After normal usage, the blades may begin to dull, at which point they should be replaced. The blades are secured to the clippers and trimmers with only two screws for quick replacement. Replacement blades are available at many beauty supply stores, or on Wahl's website.

  1. Turn off the trimmer, then unplug it from the wall.

  2. Remove the two screws on the back of the top blade, using a screwdriver.

  3. Lift the top blade off the trimmer, then lift off the bottom blade.

  4. Place the new bottom blade onto the trimmer, inserting the mounting post into the centre hole of the bottom of the blade.

  5. Align the screw holes on the bottom new top blade with the screw holes on the trimmer.

  6. Secure the blade, using the two screws.
