Smartware silicone bakeware allows you to skip greasing your baking trays with oil or non-stick cooking spray as the bakeware has a non-stick surface. Smartware silicone bakeware offers many advantages to the baker. A few advantages are that the bakeware will not rust over time, it will not shatter if you set it on a cool surface right out of the oven and they are very durable so you may twist them to help release your baked goods from the baking tray. Using the Smartware silicone bakeware is quite simple.

Rinse your Smartware silicone bakeware with warm water and a mild soap to rinse off any dust that may have settled onto the bakeware. Dry the bakeware with a lint-free handtowel to remove excess moisture.

Preheat your oven to the appropriate temperature for the recipe you are baking.

Adjust the location of the oven rack according to the recipe.

Place your bakeware on a flat surface and pour your batter into your baking trays. If you are baking cupcakes, you do not need to use cupcake liners because the silicone tray will allow for easy removal without the liner. You do not need to grease the bakeware before use as the silicone material is non-stick.

Place your Smartware silicone bakeware into the oven. Set your timer and check on your baked goods often. Silicone bakeware may add an additional five to 10 minutes of cook time to your recipe.

Remove your bakeware from the oven when your baked goods are finished baking. Place the silicone bakeware on a cooling rack.

Remove your baked goods from the bakeware after it has cooled. To remove the items, you may simply twist the tray until they become loose or you may pop them up by tapping the tray on a flat surface. Only use rubber utensils for assistance to remove your baked goods as a sharp utensil may cut the silicone baking tray.

Wash your Smartware silicone bakeware. You may wash the bakeware with warm water and mild soap or by placing it in your dishwasher.
