Igloos are round houses with a door or small tunnel doorway. Use any type of moulding clay to make one of these structures. Choose a type of clay that fits your needs. For example, if you want the igloo to be permanent, use a clay that air dries.

Tear off a chunk of clay. The chunk should be the size you want the igloo.

A standard kitchen rolling pin works to flatten the clay.

Flatten the chunk of clay with your hand on a flat surface. Use the rolling pin to flatten it to about 1/2 inch.

Remove the clay from the surface with a spatula. Mold it into a bowl shape. Wet your finger. Smooth out the edges with your wet finger.

Turn the bowl upside down and place it on the flat surface.

Place chunk of clay, half the size of the first on, on the flat surface. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness with the rolling pin.

Remove the piece of clay with spatula. Mold it into a "U" shape. Wet your fingertip and smooth the edges.

Wet one flat side of the "U" with your finger. Turn the "U" upside down and press it onto side of the igloo. Press small, wet pieces of clay where the two pieces meet. Smooth down with your finger.

  • Remove the piece of clay with spatula.
  • Wet one flat side of the "U" with your finger.

Draw bricks into the igloo with the toothpick.

Set aside to dry, if desired.
