Hi, my name's Joanna Cahill, and I'm the owner of Healthy Home Cleaning based in Asheville, North Carolina. We specialize in green non-toxic cleaning and today I'm going to teach you how to remove tarnish from your silver cutlery. When it comes to cleaning tarnished silverware, the same thing that you use to polish your teeth is what you use to polish your silverware. So, what we have here is just some toothpaste, just any white toothpaste will do and some baking soda. So, you're going to go ahead and take a little bit of that toothpaste and put it on your silverware. And then we'll just take a clean white rag and go ahead and work in that toothpaste onto your silverware, go ahead and get around both sides. Now, if you've done this and it's still not making it nice and shiny, that's when you're going to try to use the baking soda. So, for particularly bad tarnished pieces, you can go ahead and use the baking soda and just add a couple drops of water and then go ahead and scrub that out. And when you're all done, you get some warm water running and rinse off your silverware with that warm water, and your silver's shiny and new again. This is Joanna Cahill with Healthy Home Cleaning, and I want to thank you for watching how to clean tarnished silverware.
