Hi, I'm Hilary Talbott, acupuncture physician and clinical herbalist. Today, I will be showing you acupressure points to relieve ear congestion. Now, ear congestion can be a simple result of a cold and flu leaving the Eustachian tubes of the ear blocked up. So a simple acupressure on the local points are often helpful. But what's even more helpful is usually having a needle in this point. So today I'm going to show you a distal point on your hand that opens up the entire triple burner meridian which flows through the ear. And this can be used you know just while you are sitting in a meeting or at school. That point is known as triple burner two. It's located right in between the joints of the fifth and fourth finger bones, right in this divot. And you want to use some firm pressure and kind of make a small fist when you do this in order to get the point more effectively. And you can actually use triple burner three which is located just on the other side of it and pinch right here. And this should help over time to open up your ear. It's important to understand what the cause of the ear congestion is. Especially if it's gone on for any extended amount of time or is reoccurring daily. I'm Hilary Talbott, and that was acupressure for ear congestion.
