Hi, my name is Bob Linde. I'm an acupuncture physician and registered herbalist in St. Petersburg, Florida. Today, I'm going to talk to you about some home remedies for vertigo. So, of course, there's many different reasons why a person may have vertigo. It's important to see your local doctor to ensure that it's not from things like high blood pressure or often times we actually for lack of a better name, get small nodules or deposits in the inner ear, what I like to call rocks in your head. That can actually cause some serious vertigo, and those are best handled, oftentimes, by a physical therapist who is specially trained in balance issues. But a lot of times there is other simple things that we can try at home. One is actually ginger. So, we can make a ginger tea at home or use ginger tablets, but the fresh ginger tea is the best source and another one is an acupuncture point that's referred to as Pericardium 6. We can get things called C-bands from your local health food store or sometimes even your boating supply store that can be very very effective for vertigo. So, it's about two or three inches just above the wrist crease, right in the center of the inner part of the arm. So, using Pericardium 6 or ginger tables, or make sure that you see your primary care physician to ascertain as to why you might be having problems with your balance or vertigo. So, this is Bob Linde in St. Petersburg, Florida talking to you about some home or herbal remedies that might be effective for vertigo, and please enjoy your herbs.
