Remove rust from fabric by laying the clothing on some paper towels face down, squeezing lemon juice over the stain and then laying it out to dry. Wash rust stained clothing as normal after treating it with advice from a stain specialist and mother of five in this free video on stain removal.
Hi, I'm Sue in West Jordan, and I'm going to talk today about getting rust stains out of an article of clothing. First thing you're going to want to do is take some white paper towels, and lay them down. And it might take several of them. And then you're going to take the clothing with the rust spot on it, and you're going to lay it face down on the paper towels, spread it out really good, and then you're going to take some lemon juice, and squeeze that lemon juice over the article of clothing, so that lemon juice will saturate, and go through to the bottom. If you don't have a real lemon, you can actually use lemon juice from a bottle. And that will work just as good. And then when you finish that, you probably should lay it outside to dry, if the weather's nice, or inside if it's not. And after it's dry, then go ahead and launder it as usual.
