Hi this is Ashlee from Pet Planet in Riverton, Utah. Today I am here to let you know why your sugar glider possibly stinks. One reason why is it could be the type of food that you're feeding him, either that's outdated or it has a lot of meats, eggs, insects, that can cause almost like a ferret like smell. One thing that people have been doing nowadays they do have a veterinary formulated pellet. It could reduce this issue as well as give them the nutrients they need without worrying what kinds of foods to feed them or how much. Also one thing that could cause maybe even a diarrhea on a sugar glider is they do not like bananas or really acidic fruits. They could just upset the stomach so you will probably see them pass that down if you have tried to offer that to them in the past. So it's a good idea to make sure that you're giving them enough of the right vegetables, the right fruits and as well as the right amount of insects or protein. One thing that you want to do is you can feed them crickets over meal worms because I do prefer crickets because they do have lower fat, they also have like a higher protein and a better calcium for your sugar glider.
