Children enjoy being pampered just like adults. Instead of taking them to a spa or buying expensive adult facial masks, you can help them make their own homemade oatmeal facial mask. The homemade spa treatment can be incorporated into a spa party with their friends. The oatmeal will help exfoliate the skin and this can teach your children how to care for their skin properly.

Place the oatmeal into a food processor. Grind the oatmeal into a fine powder.

Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and put it aside.

Combine the honey and the plain yoghurt into a bowl. Have your children stir the honey and yoghurt until it mixes well.

Help your children add the ground oatmeal. Stir all the ingredients until a smooth paste forms.

Teach your children how to apply the oatmeal facial mask. It may work best if they apply the masks on each other so they avoid getting it in their hair or eyes. Apply the oatmeal mask to the face, but avoid placing it too close to the nostrils, eyes and mouth.

Leave the oatmeal mask on for 15 minutes. Rinse off the oatmeal mask with warm water and a washcloth.

Always supervise the children when making and applying the masks to ensure that no accidents occur.

Immediately rinse the oatmeal mask off the skin if irritation or a rash occurs.
