A career as an IBM consultant offers opportunities to work on interesting projects for a top-tier clientele. Consultants earn a base salary, cash bonus, stock awards and profit sharing. IBM's Global Business Services (GBS), which includes its consulting services, is one of the world's largest business consultancy with operations in 160 countries. GBS's reach spans diverse industries, including aerospace, defence, automotive, banking, chemicals and petroleum. IBM consultants offer functional expertise in a variety of areas such as application services and supply chain management.


According to, a college graduate earns £29,250 salary as an IBM consultant. Through a combination of experience, cash bonus, stock bonus and profit sharing, a consultant's salary may be as high as £78,000. On average, IBM consultants earn £55,985. IBM consultants reported an average cash bonus of £2,178, £650 stock bonus and £1,462 profit sharing.
