Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a 2002 release from Rockstar Games that remains highly rated by many players today. Unlike previous installments, San Andreas allows players to drastically change the appearance of the lead character, CJ. It also includes non-player character models that fit the different geographical areas of the game, based loosely on Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. A series of cheats allows you to take advantage of these features at will rather than just through ordinary game play.
A key feature of GTA: San Andreas is that CJ's appearance changes based on his behaviour. This affects his appeal to female characters in the game. On the PS2, pressing "Triangle, Up, Up, Left, Right, Square, Circle, Down" will instantly set CJ to maximum fatness, while "Triangle, Up, Up, Left, Right, Square, Circle, Left" instantly sets him to maximum muscularity. On the PC, type "BTCDBCB" for maximum fat and "BUFFMEUP " for maximum muscularity.
During the Las Venturas section of the game, you will often see non-player characters who resemble Elvis Presley impersonators. To immediately change all non-player characters to look like Elvis, regardless of location, press "L1, Circle, Triangle, L1, L1, Square, L2, Up, Down, Left." On the PC, type "BLUESUEDESHOES" for the same effect.
The beaches of Los Santos are filled with bikini-clad females. To recreate this effect anywhere in San Andreas, press "Up, Up, Down, Down, Square, Circle, L1, R1, Triangle, Down" on the PS2. On the PC, type "LIFESABEACH." When you enable this cheat, watch how CJ instantly switches to wearing shorts and flip-flops!
For a truly comic effect, press " Triangle, Triangle, L1, Square, Square, Circle, Square, Down, Circle" on the PS2. On the PC, type "CRAZYTOWN". CJ will turn into a clown, while the passers-by will become clowns or fast food restaurants. The streets will fill with less conventional vehicles such as buggies and pizza delivery scooters.
You can bring the San Fierro Chinatown experience anywhere by pressing " X, X, Down, R2, L2, Circle, R1, Circle, Square" on the PS2. On the PC, type "Ninjatown." Passers-by will take on an Asian appearance and carry Katana swords, while the local traffic will be filled with the black card and bikes favoured by the game's Triad gangs.
Only use the cheat modes while playing the game for fun in "free range" mode. Don't save the game after you have used a cheat mode. If you do so, it could cause glitches later on in the main storyline mode.
