How to Reset Factory Settings on a Gateway Laptop Model W340UA

The Gateway W34OUA is a laptop computer with a 14.1-inch display. If problems are encountered, it may be necessary to restore the computer to its factory configured state. The W34OUA comes with a Gateway recovery disc that allows the system to be reset to factory settings. All data that has been added to the computer by the user will be erased.

Click the "Start" button. Select "All Programs." Select the "System Recovery" folder. Click "System Recovery."

Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to run System Recovery.

Open the W34OUA disc drive. Insert the Gateway Recovery disc.

Select "Full System Restore." Click "Next."

Click "Yes" to confirm. Click "Restart" when prompted to restart the system after the recovery process is complete.


Backup important files and data before restoring the system.
