How to Restore a Compaq Mini 110 Netbook

The Compaq Mini 110 netbook is best described as a miniature laptop. The netbook is designed to allow users to easily access the Internet using an extremely compact computer. The Compaq Mini 110 has a 10.1 inch screen and includes a touch pad and full keyboard that is approximately 92 per cent of the size of a traditional notebook keyboard. The system ships with either Windows XP or Windows Vista pre-installed and includes recovery software on the hard drive. The recovery software is designed to restore the computer it is original factory condition, which also erases all data on the hard drive that was in installed at the factory.

Back up all of the data from your computer that you do not wish to erase during the restoration process. During the restoration, all data not installed from the factory is deleted.

Open the "Start" menu and select "Restart."

Press the "F8" button when the Compaq splash screen appears to open the recovery partition utility.

Press "Enter" to choose the option labelled "Repair Your Computer." Select the option to restore the system to factory settings and confirm you would like to restore the system. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the restoration.
