Updated April 17, 2017

Fujitsu is a Japanese IT service and computer hardware company that produces the Lifebook laptop. The BIOS, Basic Input Output System, is a utility that checks the hardware and prepares the computer before the operating system loads. If you've made changes to the system BIOS and you want to reset it to its factory-loaded defaults, you can do so using the BIOS set-up utility. Resetting the BIOS on the Fujitsu Lifebook is a simple and straightforward task.

Start the computer and press the "F2" key while the system boots, if the computer is currently off. If already on, restart the computer and press the "F2" key while the system boots. The BIOS set-up utility will appear.

Press the right arrow on the keyboard and scroll over to the "Exit" tab. Press "Enter." A drop-down menu will appear.

Scroll down to "Default Settings" using the down arrow key and press "Enter." A dialogue box will appear, asking if you are sure you want to load the default settings. Scroll over and select "OK" using the arrow keys and press "Enter." All BIOS settings will reset to the default value.

Scroll back to the "Exit" tab using the arrow keys and press "Enter."

Scroll down and select "Save Changes and Power Off." Press "Enter." The computer will save the default BIOS settings and power down.
