Address your child care provider by name. Preclude her name with "Dear" or "To."
Express your appreciation for the service she provides your family. Keep it simple -- "Thank you for watching Emily after school" or "We appreciate how wonderful you are with Timmy and Susie."
Add a personal message or special story to the card. Tell her about a moment you witnessed between her and your child that touched your heart. For example, "It means so much to me that Emily looks forward to spending time with you after school" or "Timmy's math grades have improved dramatically since you started tutoring him."
Tell her you look forward to having her continue to care for your child. Express the importance of the service she provides to you and your child. You can say, "We know Emily will be excited for the playground in the spring" or "Susie and Timmy will have so much fun with you this summer."
Add an additional "Thank you" and sign your name. If your child is able to hold a writing utensil, have her sign the card or help her sign her own name to the card.
Place the card in an envelope. Mail or hand deliver the thank you card to your child care provider.
