Springtime rolls around and the trees start to bloom. Cherry trees begin to bloom with small buds that come in all shades of pink, red and white. Experiment with your colours of tissue paper when creating the blossoms. Affix the blossoms on twigs and broken tree branches to add a bit of colour to your house. Just gather a few materials, invite the kids and create some blossoms.

- Floral wire
Cut four pieces of tissue paper into same-sized squares. Layer the colours so they're alternating. For example, stack them pink, white, pink, white.
Fold the pieces of tissue in a fan fold until you get to the other end of the paper.
Pinch the centre part with your fingers.
Wrap a piece of floral wire around the centre, where your fingers are.
Spread the tissue paper around the centre. Take each layer of paper and spread it away from the other layers to give it a 3D effect. Play around with it until you achieve the look you want.
