Updated February 21, 2017

The BMW E90 is also referred to as the BMW 3-Series. Each model is equipped with a trip odometer that displays the mileage driven since the last time it was reset. Resetting the mileage on the odometer makes it easier to track gas mileage that is being achieved. The trip odometer reset button is used for other functions, so you must take the proper steps if resetting the mileage is the only desired result.

Insert the key into the ignition. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

Press and release the trip odometer reset button. Do not hold the button in. The mileage resets.
