Scales have a variety of uses in the home, from weighing cooking ingredients to measuring food for more careful portion control. These scales must be calibrated regularly to ensure that they are displaying the correct amounts. Vector scales produces a line of battery-powered portable "pocket" scales such as the Vibe EQ300, which can be calibrated, as with most digital scales, using a special mode and calibration equipment.

Remove the cover of the Vibe EQ300 and turn it on by pressing the power button.

Press the "mode" button until the "g" appears. This will display any weights in grams.

Push and hold the "mode" button for until "cal" appears on the screen. This means the scale is now in calibration mode.

Press and release the "mode" button. "cal" will flash once, then "300g" will display on the screen.

Place a 300g calibration weight in the centre of the Vibe EQ300 weighing surface. After a few seconds, "pass" will appear on the screen. This means the maximum weight of 300g has been set and the Vibe EQ300 has been recalibrated.
