The Panasonic CF-52 is a rugged Toughbook released by Panasonic in 2007. It is primarily targeted at niche markets that require extra-durable laptops, such as military, forestry and criminal justice organisations. The CF-52 features a "Function" key that can be pressed to toggle the function of other keys on the keyboard. When the laptop is functioning normally, the key will not stay active, and its effect should not be noticed when the key is not actively being pressed. Due to a driver error in some models, however, the key can malfunction. Fixing this problem is as simple as installing a new driver.
Navigate to the Panasonic CF-52 Hotkey Driver page (see Resources).
Download the Hotkey driver by clicking "Download Now" and save the driver to your local hard drive.
Run the completed driver file. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the hotkey driver to your computer. When the installation is complete, restart your computer. Your function key should work like normal after your computer has restarted.
