Sharp broke new ground in 2005 by introducing the first 65 inch LCD panel television. Except for their weight difference compared to smaller models, TVs like the AQUOS do not mount differently than any other LCD TVs. Today there are a variety of 65 inch televisions available from Sharp, with many ideal for wall mounting due to their thinner-than-ever thicknesses. Mounting an AQUOS LC-C6554U requires a few tools and a little assistance.

  1. 1

Locate two studs using the stud finder. Place the wall bracket portion of the mount against the wall, marking through six bolt holes with the drill bit.

  2. 2

Drill the marked bolt hole locations with the drill and 3/16 inch drill bit. Make sure the bit penetrates 3 inches into the stud. Measure 3 inches up the bit with the measuring tape. Wrap a piece of blue painter's tape 3 inches up the bit. Stop drilling when the wall surface meets the edge of the tape.

  3. 3

Insert the included bolts and washers through these holes by hand, then tighten them fully with the socket wrench and appropriate insert.

  4. 4

Locate the threaded inserts on the rear of the LCD TV. Place the TV bracket half of the wall mount against the rear of the television, aligned with the threaded inserts. Place the appropriate sized bolts and washers through the slots in the TV bracket and into the inserts Tighten them fully using an Allen wrench.

  5. 5

Recruit your assistant to help with lifting and hanging the LC-C6554U. Check the horizontal alignment using the level. Make the small adjustments by hand, then secure its final location using the rear-mounted levelling screw and the Allen wrench.
