How Do I Locate the Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R Battery?

Updated February 21, 2017

Batteries in many racing-style motorcycles can be hard to find as components are often crammed together in very tight spaces. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R is no exception. If you know where to look, however, finding the battery is very easy on this model. The only tool needed to perform this task is the Allen wrench in the bike's tool kit, and this operation can be performed in a few minutes. A replacement battery can be purchased from any Kawasaki dealer.

Unhook the clip holding the passenger seat down. The tool kit for the motorcycle is under the seat. Lift the passenger seat and remove the tool kit.

Use the Allen wrench to remove the two triangular body fairings located on either side of the driver's seat. Each fairing has two bolts. Set the bolts aside.

Remove the bolt holding the seat on with the Allen wrench. The bolt should be easily visible once you remove the body fairings.

Lift the seat off the motorcycle. The battery is below, and the terminals should be visible.
