The HP Pavillion DV4000 line of notebooks comes with a touchpad that acts as a mouse. The device sits below the keyboard and comes in handy when you do not have room to manoeuvre a mouse when you are in a meeting, a classroom or on an aeroplane. At times, however, you may want to disable the touchpad if you have a tendency to touch it by mistake when you type. This causes the cursor to go in a place where you don't want it, resulting in mistakes.
