How to Renew a Road Tax Online

Updated March 23, 2017

A road tax is part of the yearly taxes you might have to pay depending on what state and county you live in. Your road taxes will be included in your yearly property and income tax statements that you’ll do for the IRS as part of your state tax forms. When you renew a road tax, you are renewing a portion of the taxes that you are paying.

Go to your state’s tax web site and click on “Submit State Taxes.”

Use your financial data and information about where you live to fill out the state tax forms. When you’ve paid them before, you can simply use the same information. This is called renewing your taxes, and you will do it each year.

Click "Submit" to submit your state taxes. Your road tax was completed with your entire state tax form, if it was required. Therefore, when you submit your state taxes, you have renewed your road tax.
