How to Cancel an Elance Project
After you post a project on Elance, you might need to cancel it if the work no longer needs to be done. (Jupiterimages/Brand X Pictures/Getty Images)

Elance is an online service where businesses find and hire people to work on freelance projects. You might need a graphic artist to design a logo for your company, a programmer to work on some software, or a marketer to help you get the word out about your services. You can post a description of the project needed, and freelancers then send proposals to do the work. If you determine that you no longer need the work to be done, you can easily cancel an Elance project.
