There are several dog breeds with predominantly white coats. Varieties include the Maltese and Bichon Frise, Dogo Argentino, Samoyed and American Bulldog breed. To maintain a gleaming white coat, debris removal is followed by a non-toxic cornflour application. White dogs with thick fur on the face are susceptible to tear staining. Tear stains cause brown streaks in the coat. Staining may be prevented with diet and regular maintenance.
