The Moka Express is a hob Italian espresso maker from Bialetti. The device allows you to quickly and easily make a refreshing cup of espresso, without the need for expensive espresso maker machinery. Instructions

  1. 1

Grind the coffee beans for espresso use, slightly more fine than traditional drip-coffee grinds.

  2. 2

Unscrew the Moka pot at the centre, disconnecting the halves and removing the filter.

  3. 3

Fill the bottom chamber with water until it reaches the pressure release valve. Don't fill it higher than this.

  4. 4

Fill the filter with the coffee grinds, packed tight and level. Place the filter back into the bottom chamber.

  5. 5

    Reconnect the top chamber.

  6. 6

Place the Bialetti Moka Express on a burner on your stove. Turn on the burner to low-medium heat. Wait five about minutes for the coffee to brew. The heat will percolate the water through the coffee grinds, filling the top chamber with espresso. When the bubbling stops, turn off the burner and serve the espresso.
