Hi, my name is Robert Herdan, owner of WestOaks Tile and today we're going to show you how to repair a flickering fluorescent light. OK so when you have a flickering fluorescent light, 99 percent of the time it's because one of the lights is about to burn out. And so what you're going to need to do is you're going to need to get up on your ladder and remove the cover so you can get to the fluorescent tubes. Once you get to the fluorescent tubes, what you want to do is just look for the one that looks burned out to replace it. If there is some light you may only need to replace one, two, three, or four, depending on how many fluorescent tubes are in your light. In this particular light we have four. So I guess right now what we'll do is we will go ahead and pull off the cover so we can see what's going on. So we'll go ahead and lift this cover up. Right now what I can see is that this particular bulb over here, there's a black spot on it, which usually means it's on the way out or burning out. So what I'm going to do is remove this particular bulb first so that we can find out if this is the one that is causing our flicker. Now that I've set the bulb down aside, I'm going to grab a new bulb, which I have here, and I'm going to put that in. You want to make sure you get those little prongs lined up. If you do you'll see those slips right into position. Once you've got it into position, you can go ahead and turn it. Now once it's clicked into place, we will go ahead and turn the light on. OK now we just turned our lights on. We can see that all the bulbs are looking good. And there's no more flickering, so now we have just corrected our flickering fluorescent light with a new fluorescent bulb. I'm Robert Herdan with WestOaks Tile and we have just repaired our flickering fluorescent light.
