Acupressure Points for Adrenal Fatigue
Hi, I'm Hillary Talbott, acupuncture physician and clinical herbalist coming to you from acupuncture and herbal therapies. Today, we will be discussing acupressure for adrenal fatigue. Now, many Americans face adrenal fatigue due to our propensity to burn the candle at both ends. Working hard and playing hard as well as ingesting too many stimulants like coffee. So, I'm going to show you a couple points that you can readily incorporate into you're daily health care routine to help stave off the effects of adrenal fatigue. The first point I'm going to show you is kidney three. Kidney three is located in the depression just off the medial malleolus here in the center of this hollow. Sometimes this point will be quite tender if you are really experiencing adrenal fatigue and are very tired. Now, being that this is the soft area of the body, you just want to gently make contact with the pad of your finger and rotate it in a clockwise direction in order to tonify the kidneys themselves. You can also grab behind the Achilles tendon and pinch, but only if this circular motion isn't enough for you. After doing that point for about one to three minutes on each foot, you can move up into a combination of points liver three and kidney one. Now, liver three is located between the first and the second metatarsal bones in a depression just before the bones come together and kidney one is located on the bottom of the foot in a hollow just under liver three and outside of the big ball of the foot. Now, to stimulate these points, I like to use my finger and my thumb and gently press for a couple minutes. This also has a calming effect on the mind, so if you're experiencing adrenal fatigue with the feelings of jitteriness and an overactive mind, this combination of points can also be helpful to calm you down so that you can focus on the next task at hand. Adrenal fatigue is something that can be cured with regular acupuncture and herbal therapies. So, I encourage you to visit your local acupuncture physician in order to have a protocol prescribed to you. If you do not already have a qualified practitioner, I encourage you to find one on acufiner.com. I'm Hillary Talbott, and that was acupressure for adrenal fatigue.
