How to change the skin colour of an adopted Sim in "The Sims 3"
In the Sims franchise of games by Electronic Arts, it's easy to adopt children to add to your current simulated families. However, sometimes your adopted child doesn't look like the rest of your family. Changing the colour of your adopted Sim's skin doesn't take very much time.
In "Sims 3," this same process allows you to change anything you want about any of your Sims, adopted or otherwise.

Open the cheat text applet by pressing "CTRL + Shift + C" at the same time. The screen is a black strip that opens along the top of your game in live mode.
Type in "Testingcheatsenabled true" exactly as it is written here. Press the "Enter" key after doing this. This immediately puts you in testing mode, which gives you the highest level of power over the game, environment and Sims.
Hold down the "Shift" key while clicking your adopted Sim in live mode. This opens up a series of menus around the Sim's body.
Select the "edit Sim" option from the menu. This opens the same menu that you are brought to when creating your first Sim at the beginning of the game, only with your adopted Sim's face. Use the slider to adjust the Sim's skin colour and then save the changes before returning to live mode.
